This is a small private server for friends, not a public platform. These are the house rules — short, and meant to be read. The Terms of Service cover the legal side; this covers how we actually behave in here.
The short version
Be decent to each other. Swear, argue, take the piss, play badly and get roasted for it — that is all fine and none of it is against the rules. What is not fine is going after someone for real, exposing people's private information, or anything involving a minor.
What will get you removed
These are treated seriously and can get a message blocked, an account frozen, or both:
Anything sexual involving a minor. No exceptions, no context in which this is a joke. This is reported, not just moderated.
Threats of real violence against a specific person.
Doxxing — posting someone's address, phone number, workplace, school, or details about their family or kids without their consent. Your own details are your business; someone else's are not.
Targeted harassment, especially continuing after someone has asked you to stop, or getting others to pile on.
Hate directed at people because of who they are.
Scams, phishing, or trying to take someone's account.
Illegal activity — malware, fraud, selling stolen or illegal goods. See section 8 of the Terms.
What is not a problem
Worth saying out loud, because over-moderating a group of friends ruins the place faster than under-moderating it:
Swearing and rough language.
Trash talk and one-off insults between people who know each other.
Dark humour that is not aimed at a real person.
Heated arguments, as long as they stay arguments.
Adult banter between adults, where everyone is up for it.
Gaming language. "I'm going to kill you" over a match is not a threat, and nobody is treating it as one.
How moderation actually works
Every message is checked automatically as it is sent. There are three possible outcomes:
Nothing happens. This is almost everything.
It is flagged for me to look at. The message still sends and nobody is told off. I just get a notification so a human can judge it. Privacy, harassment, and anything involving a minor land here.
It is blocked. Only for the serious categories in the Terms — the message is refused before anyone sees it, and in the worst cases the account is frozen.
Automated checks get things wrong in both directions. If something of yours was blocked and should not have been, tell me and I will fix it.
One person runs this. There is no moderation team and no appeals department — it is me. That means decisions are quick and human rather than consistent and procedural. If you think I have got something wrong, say so directly: contact@bushwookiesunited.com.
If someone is bothering you
You do not have to put up with it or handle it yourself. You can block them in Settings, and you can tell me. If someone has asked you to leave them alone, leave them alone — that is the whole rule.
